Baseball Recap: Fletcher Takes a Loss

If Fletcher was riding high fresh off their 9-2 takedown of Bolles last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fletcher Senators came up short against the Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles on Thursday, falling 11-1. The matchup marked the Senators' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Fletcher saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jakeb McDougall, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Fletcher's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Episcopal School of Jacksonville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fletcher will take on Sandalwood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
