Football Recap: Bishop Timon-St. Jude Tigers vs. St. Francis Red Raiders
Bishop Timon-St. Jude started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against St. Francis. They lost 59-35 to the Red Raiders on Friday. The Tigers were up 20-0 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.
Marquis Harris and Javonte Solomon certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Harris threw for 151 yards and two TDs, while Solomon rushed for 109 yards and one touchdown.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Amari Worthy, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

St. Francis' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyrone Clark Jr. led the charge by rushing for 120 yards and three scores on only 14 carries. Trent Buttles helped out on the ground, rushing for 94 yards and a rushing touchdown.
Bishop Timon-St. Jude's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for St. Francis, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Timon-St. Jude will host Monroe at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. Francis, they will be playing at home against McDowell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Raiders will be up against the Trojans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.88 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
