 After a string of three wins, Maria Carrillo's good fortune finally ran out  on Monday. They fell just short of the American Canyon Wolves by a score of  10-9. Maria Carrillo was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as American Canyon apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in March of 2023.
  Nathan Sanders made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 4-for-4 with two  triples, three  RBI,  and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  Cooper Bluestone, who  went 2-for-4 with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI.
 Even though they lost, Maria Carrillo was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .424. That's the best  batting average they've managed all season.
 On American Canyon's side,  Mason Harris was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (he also didn't allow any  walks). Harris was also stellar in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with two  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Jaedon Mendoza was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-4.  Kamari Antoncich was another key contributor,  going 1-for-3 with four  RBI and a  stolen base.
 Maria Carrillo's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for American Canyon, they now  have a winning record of 6-5.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maria Carrillo will take on Montgomery at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for American Canyon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Vintage at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. American Canyon is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.2  runs per game this season.
