Softball Recap: Garnet Valley Drops Season-High Score on Lower Merion

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Garnet Valley). They blew past the Lower Merion Aces 23-4 on Wednesday. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Aces recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Zoey Rogers was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Audrie Criswell was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.

Garnet Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matches.

Garnet Valley now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Lower Merion, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Garnet Valley Jaguars take on Strath Haven Panthers at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Strath Haven has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.43 runs per game on average), something Garnet Valley will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lower Merion, they will venture away from home to take on Marple Newtown at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Fightin' Tigers will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Aces surely won't give up without a fight.
