New Ulm hadn't done well against Luverne recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cardinals, sneaking past 2-1. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

New Ulm's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Luverne, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

New Ulm has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Windom on the 13th. As for Luverne, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Adrian/Ellsworth on the 13th.
