Basketball Recap: Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Takes a Loss

Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Tri County Trojans 71-42. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team's come up short the last nine times they've met.

Leading Tri County to victory were Drew Siems and Jason Wehrman. Siems almost dropped a triple-double with 27 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists, while Wehrman went 10-for-14 to rack up 23 points along with six boards and three steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Siems has scored at least a third of Tri County's points. Another player making a difference was Henry Kapke, who posted eight points.

Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Tri County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer will host Falls City at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer is facing Falls City at the right time seeing as Falls City is stuck on a 19-game losing streak. As for Tri County, they will welcome Sterling on Friday.
