It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bishop Feehan had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 33-12 margin over the Chelmsford Lions. Winning may never get old, but the Shamrocks sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Bishop Feehan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Xavier Baker led the charge by rushing for 90 yards and two scores on only ten carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Orphanos, who rushed for 63 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Bishop Feehan didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Nick Bryant. Bishop Feehan got some further help from Brayden Goodwin: he picked up 0.5 sacks, forced one fumble, and made nine total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Bishop Feehan's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Chelmsford, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Bishop Feehan will square off against Bridgewater-Raynham at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans' defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so the Shamrocks' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Chelmsford, after each having a week off, they and Billerica Memorial will shake off the rust and duke it out at 10:00 a.m. on the 27th.
