Soccer Recap: North Central Takes a Loss

North Central fought the good fight in their overtime contest against York Prep on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the York Prep Patriots by a score of 2-1. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

North Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for York Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Central will welcome Cheraw at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cheraw is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season. As for York Prep, they will be playing at home against Lewisville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lewisville will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something York Prep surely won't give up without a fight.
