Basketball Recap: Pass Christian Sets Scoring Season-High Against Bryant

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pass Christian). They were the clear victors by a 69-43 margin over the Bryant Hurricanes on Friday. The Pirates not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since November 6th (when they won 68-30).

Bryant lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Leroy Murry, who shot 45% from the field on his way to 12 points and five steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Foultz, who posted 11 points.

Pass Christian now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Bryant, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Pass Christian will host Northeast Lauderdale at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bryant, they will venture away from home to face off against Rain at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hurricanes will be up against the Red Raiders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.2 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
