However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Sierra Vista Dons will host the Azusa Aztecs at 7:00 p.m. Sierra Vista has given up an average of 34 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Sierra Vista fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Pomona on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 34-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Devils. The Dons were down 28-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the defeat, Sierra Vista got top-tier performance from Ethan Paez, who threw for 113 yards and two TDs on only six passes, and also rushed for 50 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Azusa fell victim to Ontario and their airtight defense on Thursday. They were dealt a 28-0 loss at the hands of the Jaguars.

Azusa's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Sierra Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Everything came up roses for Sierra Vista against Azusa in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 33-6 win. In that contest, the Dons amassed a halftime lead of 27-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
