Basketball Recap: Alvin Comes Up Short

Alvin managed to keep up with South Houston until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Alvin Yellowjackets were outmatched by the South Houston Trojans and fell 62-35. The Yellowjackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2018.

Alvin has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for South Houston, their victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-4.

Alvin will welcome Sam Rayburn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alvin is facing Sam Rayburn at the right time seeing as Sam Rayburn is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for South Houston, they will square off against Manvel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
