Preview: Sylacauga Aggies vs. Central of Clay County Volunteers
Sylacauga is 9-1 against Central of Clay County since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Sylacauga Aggies will head out on the road to face off against the Central of Clay County Volunteers at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Sylacauga scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 79-39 win over Lincoln. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Sylacauga has managed all season.
Revish Bardwell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Erick Oneal, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Central of Clay County was able to grind out a solid win over Munford on Wednesday, taking the game 59-52.
The win makes it two in a row for Sylacauga and bumps their season record up to 4-6. As for Central of Clay County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Sylacauga ended up a good deal behind Central of Clay County in their previous matchup back in February, losing 81-63. Can Sylacauga avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
