Softball Recap: Whiteoak Takes a Loss

Whiteoak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 9-3 to Williamsburg. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Whiteoak of the 18-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2017.

Whiteoak saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylee Ruark, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Whiteoak's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Williamsburg, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Whiteoak Wildcats duke it out with Paint Valley Bearcats at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Williamsburg, they will host Cincinnati Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
