Preview: Bishop Grimes Cobras vs. Bishop Ludden Gaelic Knights
After two games on the road, Bishop Grimes is heading back home. They will take on the Bishop Ludden Gaelic Knights at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Bishop Grimes came up short against Utica Academy of Science and fell 66-54. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Bishop Grimes came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 156th, while Utica Academy of Science is ranked 467th).
Bishop Ludden suffered their biggest defeat yet this season two weeks ago. Their rough 72-49 defeat to La Salle Institute might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bishop Ludden has scored all season.
Bishop Grimes' defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Bishop Ludden, they dropped their record down to 6-4 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Bishop Grimes against Bishop Ludden when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 83-52 victory. Will Bishop Grimes repeat their success, or does Bishop Ludden have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
