Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Dresden Jensen and Bryson Roberts Lead Grantsville to Victory

Grantsville played in conference for the first time on Friday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They took down the Ben Lomond Scots 63-48. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cowboys also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Leading Grantsville to victory were Bryson Roberts and Dresden Jensen. Roberts went 12 of 24 en route to 28 points and seven boards, while Jensen dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. The game was Roberts' 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Fawson, who posted five points and five boards.

Grantsville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Ben Lomond's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Deshawn Holland, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 12 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zeb Whetton, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Grantsville pushed their record up to 9-8 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.4 points per game. As for Ben Lomond, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Grantsville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 47-41 victory against Ogden on the 22nd. As for Ben Lomond, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 83-49 defeat against Morgan on the 22nd.
