Mt. Baker is a perfect 8-0 against Meridian since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Mountaineers will host the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. Mt. Baker will be strutting in after a victory while Meridian will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Thursday, Mt. Baker got the win against Cashmere by a conclusive 18-8. The result was nothing new for the Mountaineers, who have now won six contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Meridian's offense. They came up short against Lynden last Thursday, falling 14-0. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mt. Baker is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.4 runs over those games. As for Meridian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Everything went Mt. Baker's way against Meridian in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Mt. Baker made off with a 14-2 victory. Do the Mountaineers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
