Basketball Game Preview: NFL Yet Academy Eagles vs. Valley Lutheran Flames

Having just played yesterday, the NFL Yet Academy Eagles will get right back to it and host the Valley Lutheran Flames at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

It was a Battle of the Birds when NFL Yet Academy duked it out withVeritas Prep on Monday. NFL Yet Academy had to suffer through a 68-41 loss at the hands of Veritas Prep.

Meanwhile, Valley Lutheran came tearing into Saturday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Wildcats with points to spare, taking the game 76-61. That's two games straight that the Flames have won by exactly 15 points.

Valley Lutheran pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.9 points per game. As for NFL Yet Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

NFL Yet Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Valley Lutheran when the teams last played back in December of 2016, but they still walked away with a 61-57 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Valley Lutheran's Cade Mousel, who posted 23 points. Now that he won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be easier for NFL Yet Academy to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
