Basketball Recap: Hazen Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Hazen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Mercer Island Islanders and fell 80-34. The Highlanders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-14.

Despite the loss, Hazen saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Josiah Zwitt posted seven points.

Hazen's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mercer Island, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coincidentally, Hazen and Mercer Island will both be playing Juanita the next time they take the court. The Islanders will head out to face the Ravens at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Highlanders will host them at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
