Softball Recap: Workman Lobos vs. Sierra Vista Dons
Sadly, Workman is still looking for their first win of the season after ten games. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 21-3 walloping at the hands of the Sierra Vista Dons on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Workman of the 21-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March.
For Sierra Vista's part, HAILEY HERNANDEZ was incredible, going 4-for-4 with five stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of LORIN LOZANO, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances.
Workman's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Sierra Vista, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Workman will challenge Nogales at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sierra Vista, they will head out on the road to take on Duarte at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Duarte is on a five-game streak of home wins, Sierra Vista a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
