Softball Recap: Flowing Wells Comes Up Short

Flowing Wells easily dispatched Amphitheater on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Caballeros fell just short of the Buena Colts by a score of 10-8 on Tuesday. The Caballeros were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Colts earlier this season, when they won 5-2.

Flowing Wells saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Yesenia Solano, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was Solano's first of the season. Kristen Felix was another, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Flowing Wells has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-18 record this season. As for Buena, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-18 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Buena beat Flowing Wells by a score of 10-0 on Thursday.
