Volleyball Game Preview: Crandon Cardinals vs. Manawa Wolves

The Crandon Cardinals will venture away from home to challenge the Manawa Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with 16 losses in a row, Crandon turned things around against Providence Academy on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Paladins by a score of 3-1.

Crandon had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-15, 25-17, 25-21.

Manawa not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 17, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Port Edwards.

Crandon's record is now 4-27. As for Manawa, their record now sits at 15-16.

Crandon was able to grind out a solid win over Manawa in their previous matchup back in September of 2022, winning 2-0. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
