Volleyball Recap: New Albany Takes a Loss + How To Watch

New Albany was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thomas Worthington CARDINALS. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the CARDINALS from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-22, 16-25, 25-13.

Despite the loss, New Albany still got an impressive performance from Aline Bhat, who had 28 digs and four aces. Bhat is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 15 or more in each of the last eight games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Jillian Welsh, who had six digs and two aces.

New Albany's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Thomas Worthington, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

New Albany wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Johnstown-Monroe on the 23rd. As for Thomas Worthington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Hilliard Bradley on the 23rd.
