Basketball Game Preview: Northwestern Bulls vs. Dillard Panthers

The Northwestern Bulls will head out on the road to challenge the Dillard Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Northwestern's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Northwestern will head into Tuesday's contest on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Monsignor Pace on Tuesday. Northwestern really took it to Monsignor Pace for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-26 win. The Bulls have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 24 points or more this season.

Dwight Carter continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 11 for 13 on his way to 22 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Calvin Russell Jr., who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards.

Northwestern smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Meanwhile, Dillard didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Boyd Anderson on Friday, but they still walked away with a 52-48 victory. The win was all the more spectacular given the Panthers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 438th, while the Cobras are ranked 112th).

Northwestern's record now sits at 11-3. As for Dillard, their record is now 3-8.
