Softball Recap: Cedar Crest Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bishop McDevitt on Friday, Cedar Crest came back down to earth. The Falcons lost 17-7 to the Penn Manor Comets on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Comets: they've now lost nine in a row.

Cedar Crest now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Penn Manor, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedar Crest will welcome Hempfield at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Black Knights have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Penn Manor, they will host J.P. McCaskey at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
