Mitchell had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were beaten by the Arvada Bulldogs 52-6. The Marauders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-6.

The victory got Arvada back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Mitchell will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on La Junta at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Arvada, they will head out to square off against Pueblo County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
