Softball Recap: Mitchell Takes a Loss

Mitchell had lost four straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 7-13 to make it five. They lost 13-2 to the Brandon Valley Lynx. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Kernels couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Brandon Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. The result was nothing new for Brandon Valley, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.

For Brandon Valley's part, Danielle Schoby was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and one double while going 4-for-4. Those five RBI gave Schoby a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Briley Laber, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.

As of now, neither Mitchell nor Brandon Valley have any future games scheduled.
