Baseball Recap: Chaminade Comes Up Short

The Chaminade Flyers came up short against the Rocky Point Eagles on Friday and fell 6-3.

Danny Nawrocki made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Michael Gardner, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Chaminade has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Rocky Point, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chaminade will take on Xaverian at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Rocky Point, they will challenge Mount Sinai at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
