Volleyball Game Preview: Murray Spartans vs. Jordan Beetdiggers

The Murray Spartans will head out to take on the Jordan Beetdiggers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Murray took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Judge Memorial Catholic 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won six in a row.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Murray who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 21-25, 25-18, 21-25, 15-6.

Meanwhile, Jordan made easy work of East on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-19, 25-9.

Jordan now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Murray, their victory bumped their record up to 17-10.

Murray took their win against Jordan when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
