Recap: Piute Thunderbirds vs. Grand County Red Devils
The Piute Thunderbirds scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 59-28 victory over Grand County on the road. The result was nothing new for Piute, who have now won four matches by 21 points or more so far this season.
Grand County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cadence Kasprick, who scored 13 points. The contest was Kasprick's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Tatum Packard was another key contributor, scoring five points along with nine rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Piute and bumps their season record up to 5-3. As for Grand County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Piute is on the road again on Friday and play against Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams at 4:30 p.m. on December 15th. Grand County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Escalante at 3:00 p.m. on December 16th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Escalante is ranked 70th, while Grand County is ranked 77th).
