With a playoff win on the line, Wallkill Valley rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Hasbrouck Heights Aviators with a sharp 81-57 victory. Given the Rangers' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Aviators are ranked 329th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
