Softball Recap: Chicopee Victorious

On Monday Chicopee's undefeated season almost came to an end. They had just enough and edged out the Ludlow Lions 6-4. That's two games straight that the Pacers have won by exactly two runs.

Raelyn Loud spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jordyn Kazeroid, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Aviah Blankenship, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Chicopee's record now sits at 18-0. As for Ludlow, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-4.

As of now, neither Chicopee nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
