Softball Recap: Ravenna Takes a Loss

Ravenna had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-8 to make it four. They lost 11-3 to the Mogadore Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Ravens of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Alivia Dailey made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

As for Mogadore, they now have a winning record of 6-5. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.

On Mogadore's side, Natalya Bartholomew made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over 5.1 innings pitched. Bartholomew was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Mogadore got a massive performance out of Rylee Clark, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Layla Funk was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Coming up, Ravenna will face off against Springfield at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Mogadore, they will square off against Cuyahoga Heights at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
