Basketball Recap: Woodland Takes a Loss

Woodland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Winterboro Bulldogs, falling 85-6. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 416th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 80th).

Woodland's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Winterboro, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-1.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Woodland Bobcats face off against the Victory Christian Lions at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Winterboro has already played their next matchup, an 81-17 victory against Wadley on the 14th.
