Softball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Desert Vista's Tenth in Last 11 Outings

Desert Vista never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Millennium Tigers by a score of 5-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-2 last Monday.

The result came thanks to Zhalia Asi's shutout, as she gave up just five hits and racked up seven Ks. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Takoah Jones was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

Desert Vista hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Millennium struck out seven times.

Desert Vista is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 13.8 runs. This is the second loss in a row for Millennium and nudges their season record down to 7-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Desert Vista will venture away from home to challenge Cibola at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Millennium, they will head out to take on Mountain Ridge at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
