Volleyball Recap: Whiteland Comes Up Short

Whiteland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants.

Jackson Gardner paced Whiteland's offense, picking up four kills. Gardner got some help from Henry Zauk and his eight assists. Gardner was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Whiteland's loss dropped their record down to 5-17.

Whiteland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Indy Genesis HomeSchool on the 3rd. Hopefully Kalamazoo Central paid attention to the Warriors' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Warriors at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
