Baseball Recap: Lone Tree Comes Up Short

Lone Tree fell victim to Hillcrest Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ravens. The Lions have struggled against the Ravens recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Lone Tree's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Hillcrest Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lone Tree will take on New London at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hillcrest Academy, they will venture away from home to take on West Burlington on Monday.
