Basketball Recap: Ossining Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Ossining unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 52-51 to the White Plains Tigers. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Several Pride players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dylan Bryant, who made all 5 shots he took racking up 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Mateo Taylor was another key player, putting up ten points and three blocks.

Looking ahead, Ossining will venture away from home to square off against Mamaroneck at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for White Plains, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Ketcham at 5:00 p.m. on the 19th.
