Basketball Recap: Sunday's Win Is Canfield's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

After losing to Green the last time they met, Canfield decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Canfield Cardinals came out on top against the Green Bulldogs by a score of 56-49 on Sunday. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 554th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Canfield is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. As for Green, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canfield will welcome Boardman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Green, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Stow-Munroe Falls at 6:45 p.m.
