Volleyball Recap: Wilmington Wildcats vs. Melrose Red Raiders

After flying high against Watertown last Tuesday, Wilmington came back down to earth. The Wilmington Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Melrose Red Raiders on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-9, 25-10.

Melrose was led to victory by Leah Fowke and Sabine Wenzel. Fowke had three digs and 18 assists, while Wenzel had eight kills. Fowke is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in the last nine games she's played dating back to last season.
