Coatesville lost to Downingtown East back in April, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Red Raiders won by a run and slipped past the Cougars 7-6. That's two games straight that the Red Raiders have won by just one run.

Coatesville has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That somehow still isn't as good as their 15-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Downingtown East, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coatesville will host Henderson at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Red Raiders 2.6, the Warriors 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Downingtown East, they will challenge Haverford at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
