Recap: Dunnellon Tigers vs. Oak Hall Eagles
The Dunnellon Tigers won the last time they faced the Oak Hall Eagles, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Dunnellon sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-52 win over Oak Hall.
Dunnellon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sean Martin led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and ten assists. The game was Martin's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Bode Burns, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Dunnellon is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for Oak Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
Dunnellon will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Wiregrass Ranch at 3:30 p.m. on December 29th. One thing working in Wiregrass Ranch's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Oak Hall won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Eastside at 12:00 p.m. on December 28th. Hopefully Eastside focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Wednesday.
