First Baptist Academy hadn't done well against Palmetto Ridge recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Lions came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bears, sneaking past 7-5. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Bears back in March, they had to take a 5-4 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Easton Hicks, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey DeSalvo, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

First Baptist Academy's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Palmetto Ridge, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

First Baptist Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-0 victory against Golden Gate on the 4th. As for Palmetto Ridge, they have also already played their next match, an 8-6 win against Fort Myers on the 4th.
