Soccer Recap: Mercer Comes Up Short

Mercer came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 4-1 to the Wilmington Greyhounds. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Wilmington this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Mercer's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5-1. As for Wilmington, their win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3.

Looking ahead, Mercer will take on Slippery Rock at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Wilmington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
