Softball Recap: Bowie Takes a Loss

Bowie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pittsburg. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bowie of the 15-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2022.

Bowie saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alleyah Franco, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. What's more, Franco posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.

Bowie's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Pittsburg, they pushed their record up to 3-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Bowie will challenge Liberty-Eylau at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pittsburg, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Quitman at 6:00 p.m.
