After flying high against Buckeye on Wednesday, Lakewood came back down to earth. The Rangers fell just short of the Rocky River Pirates by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. Lakewood's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Their goal came courtesy of CONNOR SEFCHICK, which was the first he's scored this season.

Lakewood's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6-1. As for Rocky River, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakewood will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on North Olmsted at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Rocky River, they will take on Tallmadge in a tournament on Wednesday. Tallmadge's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
