Basketball Recap: Sylmar Comes Up Short

Sylmar played a tough matchup on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 91-38 defeat at the hands of the Brentwood School Eagles. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 62-29.

Despite the loss, Sylmar still got an impressive performance from Aiden Garcia, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 22 points and three steals. The contest was Garcia's third in a row with at least 16 points.

Sylmar now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Brentwood School, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Looking ahead, Sylmar will take on Blair at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 80.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Brentwood School, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Poly at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
