Basketball Recap: Bennett Takes a Loss

If Bennett was riding high fresh off their 65-22 takedown of Arcadia last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bennett Clippers came up short against the Parkside Rams on Wednesday, falling 68-42. The Clippers were not able to make up for their loss to the Rams from their previous meeting back in January.

Ziyon Smith had a dynamite game for Parkside, putting up 18 points. Another player making a difference was JeLeiah Gardner, who posted 12 points.

Bennett's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Parkside, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Bennett will venture away from home to challenge Snow Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Parkside, they will host North Caroline at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
