Soccer Recap: Friday's Victory Is Fort Walton Beach's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

Fort Walton Beach kept a clean sheet against North Bay Haven Academy on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 296th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Esteban Mendes and Wilmer Munoz scored both of Fort Walton Beach's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Fort Walton Beach is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those nine games. As for North Bay Haven Academy, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-9-1.
