Basketball Recap: Eagle Ridge Christian Comes Up Short

Eagle Ridge Christian extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-5. They were outmatched by Liberty Christian Academy and fell 98-49. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Eagle Ridge Christian has suffered against Liberty Christian Academy since December 19, 2019.

As for Liberty Christian Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 32 points or more this season.

Liberty Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Phoenix Obermann led the charge by going 11-for-16 en route to 25 points in addition to five assists and three steals. The matchup was Obermann's tenth in a row with at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Willy Mueller, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 19 rebounds.
