Volleyball Game Preview: Naples Classical Academy vs. Donahue Catholic Shamrocks

Naples Classical hasn't had much luck against Donahue Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Academy will venture away from home to challenge the Shamrocks at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Naples Classical lost 3-0 to Everglades City on Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-6, 25-6.

Meanwhile, Donahue Catholic didn't have quite enough to beat Mason Classical Academy on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Shamrocks have struggled against the Paladins recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Donahue Catholic wouldn't go down easily and took Mason Classical Academy into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-0, 25-0, 0-25, 0-25, 15-9.

Naples Classical's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Donahue Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Naples Classical suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Donahue Catholic when the teams last played back in September. Can the Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
